Buried Treasure Lake Of Nine Location And Treasure Guide

Exploring Midgard in God of War Ragnarok rewards dedicated adventurers with rare crafting resources and valuable equipment upgrades. Among the most lucrative secrets scattered across the realm are buried treasure mounds hidden around the icy waters of the Lake of Nine. Understanding how to obtain the necessary treasure maps and navigate to their exact locations ensures Kratos efficiently maximizes his combat power.

Finding the Demise of Dagestr Treasure

Before you can dig up the Demise of Dagestr treasure in Midgard, you must first acquire its corresponding treasure map located in Svartalfheim. The map is found in the southern section of The Applecore, accessible only after completing the Forging Destiny main quest and utilizing the Draupnir Spear to access new ledges. Once collected, travel to the Lake of Nine and head northwest of Tyr's Temple. Look for a Wind Fissure in the ice near the Realm Tower, break through the barrier, and dig up your rewards near the Ormr creature.

Locating the Viking's Gift Treasure

The Viking's Gift buried treasure offers another essential stash of crafting components within the Lake of Nine region. Players must first claim the treasure map from the Raider Fort near the entrance to the lake. After clearing out the raiders, retrieve the map resting near the campfire. The buried treasure itself is situated on the eastern side of the Lake of Nine, right in front of the massive fortress doors near the Raider Hideout entrance.

Key Mechanics for Unlocking Buried Treasure

A crucial rule to remember is that buried treasures will not appear as dig spots until their respective maps are added to your inventory. Simply visiting the coordinates beforehand will yield no results, requiring players to clear prerequisite story milestones first. Tracking down both maps ensures that every hidden mound becomes fully interactive when exploring Midgard's frozen landscape.

Rewards for Completing Lake of Nine Treasures

Unearthing these hidden caches grants powerful amulet enchantments, rare crafting materials, and a hefty amount of Shattered Runes. The Demise of Dagestr rewards players with Helheim's Force alongside Asgardian Ingots and Luminous Alloy. Meanwhile, Viking's Gift supplies Midgard's Justice, Stonewood, and Honed Metal to bolster Kratos' armor attributes.
